Summary/Abstract: In this paper, we analyze the narrative ellipsis in the novel The Sand Child, by Tahar Ben Jelloun. After a short introduction in which our intention is to outline the basics of the ellipsis and the importance of choosing Ben Jelloun’s novel, we focus on the ellipsis at three levels: the character, the narration and the narrator (type, multitude and voice). We also focus on the fact that The Sand Child is a never-ending narrative discourse, in which the completion of some gaps generates other gaps that can or cannot be completed.
