Summary/Abstract: As in other peoples, the soil is also associated with femininity and fertility in Turks, a number of ritual practices related to the soil have been developed as a source of product acquisition after settled living. At the basis of these practices, it is aimed to increase the abundance and productivity of the products, but also the working mechanism of primitive thinking in rituals and magical processes is encountered. This is in fact a form of pragmatic relationship between nature and man emerging in the holy place. The magical behaviors and actions to control natural processes must involve certain movements in order to achieve the desired result and all these refer to mythological origins semantically and symbolize the traditional world view of society. In this study, data related to the subject were scanned from written sources and interpreted in the context of ritual and magic, it is understood in the context of Turkish traditional world view.
