Summary/Abstract: The text includes two parts and it was commissioned by the ‘Dyskurs’ to be published in the special issue of the magazine. The first part includes the comments to the text From Morsztyn to Dróżdż: the Theory of Visual Activity of a Written Text in the Process and Theory of Literature. Jacek Wesołowski wrote a doctoral thesis on this problem 30 years ago. He added a commentary to a part of his thesis. He remembers his cooperation and friendship with the artist. He tells us the story of ‘now and then’. He describes the former and current mechanisms of his own scientific and artistic workshop and its connections with the mechanism of culture life. In the second part, the theoretician reveals an original idea: instead of speaking of artwork, he speaks of an artist as a person, i.e. through the description of a person, he speaks about his artwork. He jocularly considers his methods as ‘egocentric’ and different from ‘ergocentric’ or ‘correct’ a method. The ‘correct’ method is often used in order to separate an artist as a person from his/her artwork; writers, who use it, seem to believe that artwork exists as if not produced by artists and is independent form artists as human beings. Wesołowski considers Dróżdż as a Person in the context of personal ethics. In his writing, he does not hide himself. He includes his own memories and opinions. His analysis is based on ‘an image of an artist that includes an image of an on-looker’.
