Summary/Abstract: Many voices were raised to report the important number of orthography errorspresent in the Algerian learners’ writings. Thereby, we intend, in this article, to identify the causes ofthese errors. Thus, we expect to enhance the level of the aforementioned learners regarding Frenchorthography and help their teachers improving the quality of their teaching.
