Summary/Abstract: The paper describes a brief elective course in conversation etiquette for non-native students of Russian. The methodology employed by the authors is communicative language teaching. Attended are four topics typical of everyday communication: “Establishing a Contact”, “Requests and Invitations”, “Thanking and Paying Compliments”, “Talking on the Telephone”, and “Shopping and Going to Restaurants”.
