Summary/Abstract: Formation of smart specializations is an initiative on European level for assurance of constant development taking into account characteristics of each region. The effect on the intellectual capital in the context of the labor market will have a complex nature. The aim of this article is to answer the question: what is the role of labor market in the process selecting smart specializations on the basis of creating company values and intellectual capital?
