Themes of business-science cooperation in the context of smart specialization modeling on the example of the Lubuskie Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: Business-science cooperation is a process oriented towards achieving benefits of both representatives of these sectors. Both of them indicate development and innovation challenges. One of them is the selection of regional smart specializations, which are designed to strengthen the competitiveness of the economy and reveal market niches. The purpose of this article is to diagnose the characteristics of the interaction relationship in the relational aspect of these sectors in the context of smart specializations.The first part of the article presents the contemporary definitions of cooperation and the typology of relations within its framework. The second part of the article has brought closer the process of isolation and modeling of smart specializations in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. The methodology of selecting industries considered competitive and features of the Lubuskie Voivodeship as a competitive region was discussed. The third part of a research nature combines the concepts of smart specializations and cooperation and diagnoses the nature of relations of cooperation in the relational aspect in the Lubuskie Voivodeship.
