Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the reasons for the deepest inflations of the past century in Poland, theircourse, and ways to overcome them. The analysis concerns the inflation of the Polish mark, thesubsequent coin inflation, and the inflation of the turn of the 1980s and 1990s.The author's aim is investigate the characteristics of those inflations and the factors which causedthem. The methods used include source analysis, comparative analysis, and the descriptive method.The study is based on the work of pre-war and contemporary authors, using statistical data from theCentral Statistical Office.
