Summary/Abstract: The term "legal positivism", understood in terms of general methodological requirements for the experiential and ethically neutral approach to law, envelops at least three basic theoretical concepts. Beside the normative concept, which is almost taken for granted, there are two other concepts of law that meet the requirements: the concept of law as a real social phenomenon, and the concept of law as a cultural phenomenon. In that respect, a productive classification implies grouping various positivistic concepts into a trichotomy: normative, anti- normative and culturalistic legal positivism.
