Summary/Abstract: After the establishment of the communist regime in Romania, the entire intellectual activity was subordinated to the directives of the great Soviet ruler I.V. Stalin. Both art and culture were to acquire a class character and to highlight the advantages of the regime in relation to all of the regimes that the country had known before. The national specific of the Romanian culture was profoundly affected, with the emphasis on highlighting "socialist realism".
