Summary/Abstract: The study compared the realities of the various European provinces of the Roman Empire. We have mostly referred to urbanization, colonization and the Roman army. We have also described the factors that have led to changes in the Roman society. The specific conditions of Dacia, the Empire's policy made this province to be among the ones that were permanently Latinized.
