Summary/Abstract: Embassies written by the Priscus rector of the Panion are a particularly important literary source and refer to the Huns' time of the year 448. Several aspects of the social and political life of the Danube have been precisely described. First of all, the territories that suffered the most from the Huns were in the south of the Danube in the Empire. Compared with other periods of the first millennium, it can be noticed that there were almost no fugitives in the empire, and those remaining under the Huni were very much needed by the latter The native Romance population presented by Priscus was also encountered in various scraps until the beginning of the second millennium.
