Summary/Abstract: The reasonable term in administrative competition investigations is a concept taken from the procedural criminal law and represents the rights and procedural guarantees that the investigated undertaking is afforded in order for the procedure to be equitable. The study analyses on one hand the conditions pertaining to the period of time for which the investigation takes unreasonable time, on the other hand the remedies available in case the condition of reasonable time is not observed in EU competition law.
