Summary/Abstract: Abstract. In the article, productive learning is seen as an educational process aimed at acquiring life skills and obtaining a particular product from the real life situation. This process provides – on the basis of the self-determination of the participants, the individual development and the growth of the person in the conditions of interpersonal communication and interaction. Discussed are the main parameters and characteristics of the concept of productive training, as well as its most important principles, the concept of training through alternation and the so-called dual system of education, linking to the Strategy for Development of Vocational Education and Training in the Republic of Bulgaria for the period 2015-2020.
