Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to compare the press columns “Letters from readers” in several French and Polish magazines and newspapers. In the first part we describe the specificity of the analyzed magazines. In the second part we try to analyze some examples to check if this section is realized in the same way in French and in Polish press. The analysis focuses on the following aspects: qualities of comments or of letters, text structure, aims of the readers, specificity of different magazines.
