Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of modern linguistic trends, reflecting in the theory and practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language. It presents the author’s idea of the importance of different paradigms for the systematization of language material, introduces and justifies the author’s concept of communicative and pragmatic complex as a unit of teaching Russian speech based on modern approaches.
