Summary/Abstract: The present study is dedicated to the history of a hand note from 1625 of Metropolitan Anastasius Crimca addressed to the Moscow Patriarch Philaret Nikitich, preserved as an addendum to a letter from the brotherhood of Saint Panteleimon Monastery from Mount Athos to the same Patriarch, handwritten by the Archimandrite of this Monastery, Macarius, while his delegation was in Suceava on its way to Russia. The author also publishes in the Appendices the texts and photocopies of the following documents from the Russian Old Documents State Archive: the letter of the brotherhood of Saint Panteleimon Monastery to the Moscow Patriarch Philaret with the autograph note of Anastasius Crimca; the copy of this letter made in the city of Putivl, at the entrance into Russia; the letter of the brotherhood of Saint Panteleimon Monastery to Tsar Michael I, in which one reads about a hitherto unknown request of Metropolitan Anastasius Crimca for a Russian icon for his new Dragomirna Monastery; Archimandrite Macarius’ request to Tsar Michael I for a stipend for the Athonite delegation and fodder for horses.
