Summary/Abstract: In order for a teacher in the teaching situation, to achieve set goals and objectives, it is necessary to apply appropriate teaching methods in the right manner. They are for him “ways of processing the teaching material”. He must be trained, theoretically and practically, from a large number of teaching methods to choose the most appropriate (students’ age, their prior knowledge, individual skills, the subject matter, certain teaching unit and other factors) and to apply them. This paper consists of three parts: theoretical - composed of several units; the methodological approach – i.e. the research part where we have analyzed the selection and use of these teaching methods in our primary schools (junior school age); research results and their graphical representation.
