Traditional Crafts Research in Sibiu

Summary/Abstract: Both folklore and handcrafts are changing and adapting to the realities of the contemporary life. The objects produced by the craftsmen: pieces of clothing, hats, adornments, different types of cloth, carpentry etc. no longer accomplish daily roles, but are rather exhibited in museums. Thanks to the institutions that promote the traditional culture, the craftsmen and their objects are cherished in special events, such as fares and shows in which the old-time village with all its elements comes to life.
