Summary/Abstract: This paper is focused on describing the political and economical evolution of Romania before and after the fall of the Communist regime, in December 1989. From this perspective, the author analyzes the main advantages of the European integration for Romania’s political future. The main assumptions are focused mainly on supporting the fact that Romania’s integration in NATO and the European Union will offer a good ground for modernization of the country.
