Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The aim of the article is to try to answer the question how much in the functioning reality the homo oeconomicus paradigm, being the decision-maker in the classical mainstream economics, reflects the characteristics of gender (women) and the implications for the economy. Design/methodology/approach – Explication focuses on qualitative research and secondary sources of information have been used to achieve the goal, including bibliographical entries, including national and foreign literature on the subject, and empirical research. Findings – An attempt to outline the problem of personal decisions in management and the search for answers whether these decisions may be influenced by identifiable gender-related features, or the role that the managing person is assigned to. So that the model describing decisions in personal finance management is as close as possible to reality, which results in objective economic and business knowledge regarding management processes. Originality/value – The criterion related to the division into gender causes the extension and enriches the field of economic and business considerations. Disregarding the gender owner in the statistics is a shortcoming of the enterprise sector.
