Summary/Abstract: The diagnosis of educational needs among persons preparing for inal high school examination is a necessary element of educational safety policy. Through this, the School joins the ongoing process of educating young people in accordance with the legislator’s intent. The purpose of the article is to present the outcome of research in the scope of participation of the preparation course in mathematics for inal high school examination organized by college within the process of extramural education. The realization of research target occurred by means of creating author’s questionnaire directed at 350 course participants. The effect of the conducted research is a statement noting that the undertaken initiative strengthens the feeling of safety in case of over 70% of high school graduates and constitutes the main form within the process of extramural education in mathematics next to self-study at home, extra lessons in school and paid private lessons.
