Summary/Abstract: The article aims to present social experiences that are provided within pedagogical therapy to learners with special needs. The empirical research is based on the author’s personal experiences, as well as on direct observation and critical analysis of sources. The article presents the main assumptions of aesthetic education, which were related to particular forms of therapy in the field of special education commonly used in working with learners with intellectual disabilities in the Czech Republic. The article discusses dramatherapy, art therapy and music therapy, which are closely related to aesthetic education.
