Question of holiness in social media based on Pope Francis’s teaching

Summary/Abstract: The theme of holiness has been present in the teaching of the Church from the very beginning of her existence. A number of cultural, civilization or technological changes result in the formation of new guidelines for sanctity. The following analysis is an attempt to formulate some of them which concern technological development. The main purpose of this article is to find an answer to the question: How to manifest holiness in social media? The main message is based on the Church teaching on holiness, especially on Gaudete et exsultate, the latest papal document presenting this issue. Subject analysis of the materials (the Church teaching) has allowed the authors to suggest specific guidelines regarding holiness in social media.
