Summary/Abstract: The article deals with ethics on the financial market and it concentrates on products distribution on financial service market. The aim of the elaboration is to analyze if generating profits by financial institution is not on the cost of an individual client who is the buyer of final financial products and services. The presented examples of activities of financial institutions from Polish, American and British markets lead to the impression that in practice financial institutions implement a goal to maximize current profit externalized cost on clients and taxpayers. However, ethics in their business remains in declaration sphere.
