HISTORY OF SARIYAKUP VILLAGE OF ELAZIĞ CITY

Summary/Abstract: It is too difficult to achieve and collect detailed and meaningful information on the culture and history of a small place. In some cases, researchers accept not to get any information since the very beginning of the research. It is very rare to research about the history of the small locations both because of that reason and that it doesn’t address to a wide scope. However, there are different subjects to consider. It is the dangerous of being neglected of the details of the history and culture of small locations while studying over metropolises wholly. The aim of this research which is about Sarıyakup village of Elazığ city is to reveal a sample evaluation about the history and culture of it, and to show that every vicinity can have its own history. More importantly, it is my professional duty of loyalty, as an innocent idea, to document the history of the village that I and my family belong to.
