Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the way in which the verbal tenses appear in a technical text. Our study aims at analysing a corpus of texts in the field of car construction. What interests us particularly in this approach is to identify verbal tenses and analyse their structure and their role in achieving the communicative goal of the speaker.
