Intergenerational Justice. Our Duties and Their Rights (I)

Summary/Abstract: The essay aims at rephrasing the issue of intergenerational justice in the language of human rights. For it traces the main lines of the relationship between justice and rights while emphasizing their meanings. The perspective adopted is that rights „flow from the spring of justice” (St. Augustine). In order to achieve this objective, some clarifications of apparently synonymous concepts (such as justice, equity, righteousness) are made.
