CENGIZ AYTMATOV IN THE WORKS OF KYRGYZ NATIONAL PAINTERS

Summary/Abstract: In Kyrgyzstan, which has a geographical area without a coast, most of the country comes from mountains, valleys and wide plains. Most of the country's economy with highly fertile lands constitutes agriculture and animal husbandry. The life of the country where the steppe structure is shaped is nourished from different cultures. Uzbek, Kazakh, Uyghur, Russian, Tajik, Tatar and Turkish populations are among the factors affecting the country's culture. The works of Cengiz Aytmatov, the world famous literary figure of the Kyrgyz, are a reflection of the country's cultural heritage. Aytmatov, whose works have been translated into different tongues, influenced not only literary figures, but painters as well. In this article, depictions of Cengiz Aytmatov’s stories, which were depicted among the national painters of Kyrgyzstan and which they lived in the works of today’s painters, were examined and the painters workings and the plastic language they used were explained.
