Summary/Abstract: Burdur, which has been an important settlement area since the early ages, was included in the borders of the Ottoman state by Yıldırım Bayezid in 1391. Burdur had become one of the important settlement centers for the Ottoman Empire From this date. This area had been the central unit of the sultan named Hamit of Anatolia during the foundation period of the Ottoman state and it was a very small residential area. Many innovations and arrangements were made in administrative areas in various periods in Burdur, which was first made from the 15th century to the city of liva, then to sanjak and finally to the province. In this study, the administrative changes in the Burdur were handled extensively from 1923 to 1950. This work was created mainly archive records, Official Gazette and TSI data and by research and investigation works.
