Participation of social economy entities in public procurement

Summary/Abstract: The social economy entities most often run a business activity, thus acquiring funds that can be allocated to the current functioning of the enterprise and the implementation of social objectives. The aim of the article is to analyze the participation of social economy entities in public procurement proceedings as one of the forms of obtaining orders within the framework of business activity. It presents the results of empirical research in this area. The article uses the desk research method and the statistical method in terms of quantity. The conducted research showed that the majority of social economy entities are not interested in public contracts and does not participate in public procurement procedures. At the same time, some social economy entities successfully use such activities, which allows to indicate that public procurement can be an attractive form of obtaining orders.
