Summary/Abstract: The paper concerns crime of diplomatic betrayal which are regulated in article 129 of the Penal Code The Author presents the genesis of diplomatic betrayal as well as discusses the main features of these crime and other controversial issues such as the question of damages and some reflections concerned with the punishment of offenders. The attention is also paid to circumstances that made this type of crime regarding so called the idea of political crime. Crime of diplomatic betrayal belongs to group crimes against state. It could be linked to such crimes as bribery and espionage. Remarks and final conclusions concerning binding regulations form the last part of this article.
