Linguistic manifestations of violations of journalistic ethics (based on the Golden Goebbels Award)

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the results of a linguistic analysis of materials posted on theGolden Goebbels Award Facebook profile. The authors of the texts posted and discussedon this social media page use different types of manipulation to create the desired imageof a given event or a person. Journalistic ethics is violated through lies, replacement ofelements of the footage (such as the soundtrack or the photographs) and derogatory andfactually unsubstantiated comparisons.
