Summary/Abstract: Neuropsychological research expects that knowing of brain mechanisms would suffice to explain all psychological phenomena. This assumption is based on the idea that material particles and fields are the only constituent of the brain, and therefore all causal relations of mental phenomena can be formulated in terms of material elements and their properties. Desipite of huge achievements within the framework of aforementioned attitude, the progress of cognitive sciences in confrontation with the fenomenon of consciousness is in some sort of theoretical and empirical problem.
