THE RIGHT TO INTERPRETATION AND TRANSLATION IN CRIMINAL PROCEDURES

Summary/Abstract: The article exposes the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings, under national and european law, as a consequence of the right to a fair trial. There is a emphasis on implementation, in the national law and jurisprudence, the Directive 2010/64/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings.
