Summary/Abstract: Presumption of innocence is one of the basic principles of a criminal trial, as well as a legal right of the accused, of which he must benefit during the criminal proceedings and the criminal trial, until the final judgment which proves that the accused is guilty beyond reasonable doubt, in order to guarantee a fair trial, according to art. 6 of The European Convention on Human Rights.
