Summary/Abstract: Online tracking consists of actions executed by website operators to record users’ usage habits, interests, and preferences. In this article, we discuss the online tracking techniques, we look into several cases of online tracking brought to courts, and argue that new laws must be enacted that would address the issues in a more comprehensive and effective manner.
