Analysis of selected demographic features in rural and town-rural communes of lower-silesia voivodship in the years 1988, 1996, 2002

Summary/Abstract: The study characterises the changes in natural changes and the structure of population in rural and town-rural communes of Lower-Silesia Voivodship in the years 1988, 1996 and 2002. The analyses of the selected demographic processes taking place in the rural areas of the voivodship were divided into the following thematic groups: population growth, number of females per 100 males and age groups within the voivodship. Moreover, the study analyses the differences in the rate of population growth within the years in which the analysis was conducted. The results of the study will make it possible to select the communes with favourable, average and unfavourable demographic changes within the analysed features and to present them in a form of cartograms.
