Summary/Abstract: The cultivation of love, in the widest sense, which is comprised in the base of all the types of love (Fromm called it brotherly love) and which is common to all human beings, is the utmost possibility of medicine as a human activity. It is based on the conviction that all of us are equal and it implies the sense of responsibility, care, respect, as well as cognition of the others, with the aim to promote their way of living.
