The Geopolitics of Information in the Context of the New Dimensions of Globalization

Summary/Abstract: Information is the key element of every day human existence. The fast development of the media makes, at the beginning of 21st century, every earthly life to be governed by information. In the other way, the information means manipulation. And this, in the hands of the great powers turns into a redoubtable weapon for crowd control. Along time, history has witnessed many situations where reliance on the information they decided the destiny of a nation, they decided the destiny of the presidents, or people's life. That is why this paper tries to bring a little light on how information has changed the destiny of the world.
