Legal Aspects of Collective Investment Undertakings Units and Derivative Financial Instruments as Different from Securities

Summary/Abstract: The article deals instruments which are different from securities as arranged in the Law on Financial Instruments Markets. The approach behind the classification of financial instruments within the law is determined by the different way they are traded on financial markets. Keeping in mind this economic criterion, the article also tries to answer the question whether there are legal specifics and reasons which make these instruments different from securities from the legal point of view. Out of the instruments different from securities, priority is given. The article gives priority to units in collective investment undertakings, options and futures.
