Summary/Abstract: Aborting, as exceeded, a view on religion as sub speciae aeternitatis, the author opens the question of the relation between power of religion and politics and their influence on social and spiritual processes in a society. This relation is followed on triple level. One of them is the attempt of Cultural anthropology to, by using concrete patterns (interpretative, symbolic method), explain their reciprocity in different social and historical situations. These patterns unequivocally indicate that there is not only inner connection between the domains of political and religious, but also a readable connection between religion and political culture and that this connection is not trivial for the nature of political being of a society. Equally, one cannot overlook the relation between religion, ethnicity, and political identification. In conclusion, the author states that religion signifies the core of historical processes in which one can find reciprocity of all factors important for formulating of social and personal identity.
