Summary/Abstract: The present article presents in historical order the esthetical characteristics of the main architectural styles of the city of Prague: romanic, gothic, renaissance, baroque, classicism, empire, modernism and avantgardism. It is proven through concrete arguments, that Prague is an overlapping of historical and esthetical styles, which are quite general, but also specific, national, Czech.
