Summary/Abstract: Some of the Voiculescian stories have as a direct source of inspiration the Bible, reflecting the Christian vision of the world, the directly human-divinity relationship, the descent into the human being, the manifestation of the divine nature of God. In Schitul de ceară we are witnessing a psychological conflict of a simple woman, a widow with children, whose only source of income are hives from the prawn. The psychological conflict takes on tragic dimensions, the torment of the woman, the internal struggle for the acceptance / denial of God, or the unclean spells, for the well-being of the hives and, implicitly, the welfare of the family. The feeling of guilt overwhelms her, the woman struggles between the conscious and the unconscious, feeling an outcast. The evolution of the feeling of guilt transfers the widow from fear, to anguish and, finally, to depression. This feeling materializes in the tension between Ego and Superego, between the instinct and the expectations of the society. The ego, a tool of command and control of the psychic, is centered around consciousness. The surface is the element of censorship, coordinating the moral consciousness, with the function of ensuring the integrity of the individual. Profira realizes the evil product, which generates unhappiness and self-punishment. She recognizes the guilt, a process imposed by the Superego, to restore the balance of the psychic courts.
