The teacher as an object of aggression in the difficult school class

Summary/Abstract: The present report introduces a research for some of the forms of the aggression which the difficult student classes show in regards to their teachers through the evaluation of the latter. In reaserch of B. Rodgers and J. Olsen dedicated to the misbehaving class is claimed that there are student groups in which the teacher meets numereous of aggressive and destructive acts, some of these acts are directed to them even. (Rodgers 2006; Olsen 1994). In order to check if in the bulgarian secondary school also exists similar phenomenon, with the method of expert assesment for teacher research, part of a broader study dedicated to the difficult class (Dimitrova 2011) were included 20 teachers. The purpose is to outline what the difficult class nature is, the characteristics of the context as well in which the relations are formed including the aggressive ones to the teachers of these groups. The score is defined with the measured real acts of 117 students from there misbehavig classes. It has been found out that these classes are characterized with sociopsychological climate encouraging conflict relationships with weak mastering of the group behavior, expressed demotivation in reagrds to the study and with higher demonstrated aggressive and destructive behavior on a group level. The results confirmed that thefor med leader cores in the difficult class are important factors for incitement to aggressive acts to the teachers. Over 60% from the teachers for example confirm that these group members express associal behavior and attitude to them, strive to dominate and to object, obstruct the work daily and the organization in the class. The research of the phenomenon misbehaving difficult class of pupils and in particular its specific impact on the relationships with the teacher gives a concrete aspect in reagrds to the psychology of the group behavior in the school enviroment and outlines the need of further research in this significant social sphere with the purpose for preventive impacts on the aggressive behaviors in the school.
