Summary/Abstract: The new criminal procedure Code that shall enter into force brings a simplification of institutions under where one may drop charges against a person – situation that is beneficial for legal practitioners, especially for prosecutors. This is not because the former rules were very cumbersome, but for the fact that the number of institutions under which the prosecutor could decide the non-commencement of criminal prosecution has been reduced. Due to the simplification of the procedure that applies when it comes to such a solution, the changes are of great benefit.
