Summary/Abstract: Soil has been considered as a respected and sacred element in many societies throughout the human history. It has also been seen as a holy element among Turkish nations even before Islam. This perception has become even more important with the adoption of Islam. The soil forms the basis of man's creation. In Islamic belief Qur'anic creation formed around the soil. The soil has many meanings both in mysticism and in folk beliefs. Sometimes the soil is the main stage of man's creation. Sometimes the soil is one of the treatment styles. Yunus Emre is one of the most used poets in soil images. Yunus uses soil in different meanings in his verses. According to Yunus, the soil is the material creation of man in myths of creation and in religious beliefs alike. Yunus does not tolerate that human only interest in world affairs forgetting the real life hereafter. Yunus tells people to worship in verses. According to Yunus, the soil is an image of death which is the symbol of creation from earth and then pass away. According to Yunus, the soil is a modest. The soil is not a final disappearance. The soil is the beginning of a real life. According to Yunus, the soil is a value image.
