Summary/Abstract: Prolific writer, born a whole century ago, Mircea Serbanescu is, first of all, the author of fresh writings about Timisoara’s cultural history, which touch the readers’ hearts with the forgotten charm of cultural interbellum Timisoara. From the first pages the readers are captivated by the author’s collosal memory of lived events, spiritual youth, craftsmanship in describing people and places, but also by his feverish emotions, leading to the writer’s dissolution in his work. The revival of Timisoara’s cultural history determines Mircea Serbanescu’s spiritual metamorphosis, his own identity being rebuilt through the recording of so many happy encounters, which influenced his destiny. A destiny which ought to be rediscovered nowadays.
