Summary/Abstract: The educational process of physical education and sport in the initial stage of the primary educationhelps build the foundations for the positive attitude of the trainees towards sport, personal physical development and physical capacity, motivation, needs and interests.The purpose of this survey is to identify parents’ willingness to encourage their children to participate inorganized sports activities at school and beyond, and to determine the impact of physical activity on the development of personal traits in first grade students. The contingent of the survey is 30 parents of students in the first grade of “Vasil Levski” Secondary school – Troyan.To achieve this goal, the following tasks must be completed:1. То investigate the parental capacity to provoke physical activity in children.2. To identify certain personality traits of first grade students after undergoing physical activity.3. To process the received data and formulate conclusions and recommendations for practice in physicalactivity. For the successful outcome of the survey the following methods were applied: literature review on the subject and the survey questionnaire method. Based on the answers received from parents to pupils in first grade, it can be concluded that, positive emotional communication of children during participation in sports activities influences the interaction and the way of communication with their relatives, strengthens their self-assessment, regulates social behavior, increases the tolerance towards loved ones and strangers, lowers aggressiveness and emotional lability, and last but not least - forms the basis of a healthy lifestyle.
