The Problem of Economic Security in the Conditions of Globalization

Summary/Abstract: Security research is the subject of interest of representatives of at least several scientific disciplines: political, sociology, law, economics, management science. In Poland since 2011 in the structure of science, the independent discipline of social sciences func-tions – security studies. The representatives of this discipline conduct studies and research on various aspects of security, among others, as part of a sectoral approach: military, eco-nomic, social, ecological and political security. Such a broad spectrum requires methodo-logical pragmatism as well as thinking in terms of interdisciplinary. In the article the need for a multifaceted perception of the problem of economic security was discussed. Attention was also given to the social dimension of contemporary threats to existence and develop-ment not only of state entities but of individual units – also emphasizing the personal di-mension of security. The article is characterized by a theoretical and reviewing nature, and its main purpose is to indicate changes in the role of the state in shaping the security poli-cy in the conditions of globalization.
